The 2023 Formula Student Combustion China (FSCC) concluded successfully on October 14th in Xiangyang, Hubei Province. Directed by the China Association for Science and Technology and organized by the Chinese Society of Automotive Engineers (China SAE), the competition saw XMUT's Hongfa AMOY Racing Club win first place in dynamic events, third place in static events, and achieve national runner-up with a total score of 870.51 points. The club also received other honors, including first prize nationwide, prize for international competition, second place for durability performance, second place for high-speed obstacle avoidance, third place for the lightweight award, award for excellent human-machine safety design, and award for an excellent business plan.

Since its establishment in 2008, the AMOY Racing Club has been a standout representation of XMUT. The club has accumulated numerous honors, including the individual championship of "Fuel Economy" in the 2014 Formula Student (Germany), 1 championship and 1 runner-up in the FSCC, 1 runner-up in the Formula Student Electric China, 3 championships in the Baja SAE China, more than 10 first prizes nationwide, and many other individual awards. The club has also trained nearly 2,000 outstanding professionals, becoming an excellent model for school-enterprise cooperation, talent cultivation, and scientific and technological innovation at XMUT.
